This piece is handmade in Bali, Indonesia, using mostly upcycled teak wood from retired fishing boats. Teak has long been valued in boat building and furniture for its natural oils and durability, and here those old working timbers are given a second life in the home.

Because the wood is reclaimed and the table is handcrafted, each piece is individual. The grain, old paint traces, knots and rustic finish will vary, giving every table its own quiet history.

The broad top is made for the daily things that gather around a sofa: mugs, books, remotes, notebooks, flowers, small objects collected over time. The open shelf beneath is useful for keeping lighter essentials nearby while leaving the surface calmer.

Use it as a living-room centrepiece, in a low seating area, or in a relaxed lounge space where natural wood can soften clean lines and modern fabrics.

Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, then dry the surface afterwards. Use coasters under cups and avoid leaving standing water on the wood.

Reclaimed teak is sturdy, but this is a coffee table, not a seat or step. Keep heavy loads evenly placed and lift the table when moving it, rather than dragging it across the floor.
