Wooden Box with Geometric Carving Whitewashed 15x10x6 cm

• The lid carries repeating bands of angular leaves, zigzags and small geometric marks, giving it a folk-inspired rhythm.
• The whitewashed detail sits inside the carving, so the pattern feels textured rather than printed on.
• The mango wood shows warm brown tones beneath the pale finish, with natural grain visible across the surface.
• A dark front clasp adds a simple contrast to the lighter carved lid.
• It suits the small rituals of a bedroom, dressing table or shelf: rings before sleep, keepsakes gathered in one place, little things kept out of sight.

This box is made from mango wood and handcrafted in India. The carved surface has a tactile, slightly rustic character, with the whitewashed design bringing out the relief of the pattern.

Because it is handcrafted, small differences in the carving and finish are part of the piece. Each one keeps the same Slavic-inspired feeling, but the details may vary a little.

Use it for jewellery, hair accessories, notes, small keepsakes or the objects you like to keep close but not scattered. The front clasp makes it easy to open and close during the day.

Keep it in a dry spot and wipe with a soft, dry cloth. As with most wooden pieces, avoid leaving it in damp conditions or placing wet items inside.

The carved design draws on Slavic folk ornament, where repeated geometric forms, leaves and rhythmic borders often appear on textiles, woodwork and household objects. Here, that language is interpreted as surface pattern rather than a sacred symbol: decorative, tactile and quietly domestic. The making itself is rooted in India, with mango wood shaped into a practical small box and finished so the pale detail settles into the carving. The result feels both familiar and travelled, a useful object with enough pattern to make a shelf or dressing table feel more considered.

Measures 15 x 10 x 6 cm and weighs 314 g. Made from mango wood, with a carved whitewashed Slavic design and a visible front clasp.

A good choice for someone who loves patterned wood, folk-inspired design or a calm place to keep everyday treasures. It feels personal without needing to be grand.
