About this product

The mood as it burns
  • The cone gives a concentrated curl of smoke, suited to a quiet corner, a low-lit room, or the beginning of an unhurried evening.
  • Sensuality is a named fragrance rather than a listed note blend, so the experience stays simple: warm, intimate and made for ambience.
  • The brown cones have a dry, powdery surface, with the familiar tapered shape that burns from the tip down.
  • There is no wooden stick left behind, only ash from the cone itself once it has finished burning.
  • The white box, with green leaf details and soft pink circles, feels fresh and calm on a shelf or beside an incense dish.
Plant based cones from India

These incense cones have a compact cone shape. Use them with a heat-resistant incense holder or dish, as the base becomes hot while burning.

Lighting the cone

Place one cone flat-side down on a suitable incense holder. Light the tip, allow it to glow, then gently blow out the flame so the ember continues to smoulder.

Incense in everyday ritual

Incense has a long history in India, where fragrant smoke is used in homes, temples and daily devotional settings to mark a shift in mood or attention. Outside formal practice, cones are loved for the same simple reason: they turn a room into a more intentional space. Lighting one can become a small threshold ritual before guests arrive, after cleaning a room, or when the day needs a softer edge.

Common questions

Do I need an incense holder?
Yes. Use each cone on a heat-resistant incense holder or dish, placed away from fabric, draughts and anything flammable.
How is a cone different from an incense stick?
A cone burns from a single compact body, so it leaves no wooden stick behind. Many people choose cones when they want a simple, contained incense ritual.

Nice scent while burning

Nice floral scent whilst it's burning but that's it. The backflow effect doesn't happen until about halfway down the cone. Once it's burned the smell of Ash is so strong it makes me think of dirty Ash trays from smoking cigarettes and stays in the air and clothing. Not a fan at all.

Fabulous smell

I bought these along with another scent to use on a backflow incense burner. The cones that came with that ended up leaving a smell like old cigarettes. And they didn't last very long. Picking up these Stamford ones after reading some reviews lived up to my expectations. The smell is wonderful and they last much longer than the other ones that came with the burner. They do take a little longer to retain the burning once you've lit them and you may have to hold the flame on the top of the cones a little while before it starts to glow and keep that glow going, but they are really good.
