Place the plain end of the stick in a heat-resistant incense holder or ash catcher. Light the coated tip, allow it to catch briefly, then blow out the flame so the end glows and smoulders.

Burn in a ventilated space, never leave incense unattended, and keep it away from children, pets, curtains and draughts. Make sure all ash falls onto a fireproof surface. Store the sticks in a dry place at room temperature, away from humidity.
