This incense is made in India. The fragrance is centred on Palo Santo, known botanically as Bursera graveolens, with a sweet, balsamic and herbal profile.

Light the coated tip, let it catch for a few seconds, then blow out the flame so the end glows. Place the plain end in a heat-resistant incense holder or ash catcher, away from curtains, papers and draughts.

Burn in a ventilated room and never leave incense unattended. Allow the ash to cool fully before clearing it away.

Palo Santo means ‘Holy Wood’. Bursera graveolens is a wild tree associated with the Amazon rainforest regions of Ecuador and Peru, and belongs to the same botanical family as copal, myrrh and frankincense. In Indigenous shamanic traditions, its wood, leaves and oil have long been used in ceremonial settings, especially before meditation and for preparing a space with intention: a way to bring a sense of ritual to an ordinary room.
