About this product
The glow in the room
- The light is gentle and atmospheric, better suited to evening ambience than close reading or task work.
- Its rounded shape softens the glow, making it easy to place where you want a small pool of warmth.
- The USB connector keeps it simple for a desk, shelf or bedside space with a suitable power source nearby.
- Natural salt varies in tone and crystal pattern, so each lamp has its own veining, clouding and depth.
- Unlit, it still has a sculptural presence, with the quiet weight and texture of mineral salt.
Natural Himalayan salt
The lamp is made from Himalayan salt from Pakistan, known for its warm pink and amber tones. The colour comes from the mineral character of the salt itself, not from a surface coating, so variation is part of its appeal.
Each piece is naturally different. Some lamps appear clearer, some more clouded, and some show deeper bands or paler areas through the salt.
Using it at home
Connect the USB lead to a suitable USB power source and place the lamp on a stable, dry surface. It works beautifully where you want a small ritual of evening light: beside a journal, near a meditation cushion, or on a bedside table before sleep.
Salt naturally draws moisture from the air, so keep the lamp away from damp rooms and wipe it with a dry cloth if the surface ever feels moist. Do not rinse or soak it.
Light fitting and cable
It comes complete with a light fitting, bulb and USB connector. The USB cable is 150 cm long, giving a little freedom in how you position it around a desk or bedside setup.
Salt lamps in context
Himalayan salt lamps are loved for their quiet, mineral beauty: a piece of crystallised salt turned into warm ambient light. Their appeal is visual and tactile rather than bright or technical. The glow shifts with the thickness, colour and internal pattern of the salt, so the lamp feels more like a natural object than a standard light fitting. In a modern room of screens, hard edges and cool white light, that softer amber tone can make a small space feel more settled.
