Face rollers carved from jade, quartz, obsidian and sodalite — cool stone on skin, a pause in the morning or before sleep. The practice comes from traditional Chinese skincare, where rolling was thought to support circulation and help serums absorb. Today it remains a simple, grounding ritual: a few slow passes across the face, following the natural contours, the weight and temperature of the stone doing the work.
How they work
Each roller has a larger stone for the cheeks and forehead, a smaller one for the eye area and jawline. Keep it in the fridge for extra coolness, or use it at room temperature. Roll outward from the centre of the face — temple to hairline, nose to ear, chin to jaw. The motion is gentle and deliberate, never pressed hard. Used after cleansing or with a facial oil, the stone glides smoothly and the rhythm becomes meditative.
The stones
Jade is the traditional choice — cool, smooth, valued for centuries in both adornment and skincare. Rose quartz is softer in tone, pale pink and translucent. Black obsidian is volcanic glass, dense and polished to a high shine. Sodalite brings deep blue with white veining. Each feels different under the hand, but the action is the same: a few minutes of deliberate care, skin cooled and settled, the face a little more awake.
