Simmering Granules Fig and Cassis

• The scent leans into dark fruit, with fig bringing mellow sweetness and cassis adding a sharper berry edge.
• They sit in the reservoir of an oil burner, releasing fragrance as the burner warms them from below.
• No water is needed, so the ritual stays simple and less prone to spills.
• A spoonful is enough to begin with; add more only if you want the scent to sit more fully in the room.
• They also work as a dry room fragrance in a small bowl, useful for wardrobes, bathrooms or quiet corners.

Simmering granules are a dry alternative to fragranced oil. Place them in the top dish of a suitable oil or wax burner, then warm gently from beneath. The granules are not lit, and no flame touches them.

Once the fragrance has faded, let everything cool fully before replacing the used granules. Wipe or rinse the burner dish as needed before adding a fresh spoonful.

Use them before guests arrive, beside a bath, in a hallway, or anywhere that benefits from a little fruit-led atmosphere. A small bowl of granules can also be used like potpourri in enclosed spaces, away from children, pets and anything that could be stained.

Made in the United Kingdom, these simmering granules belong to the familiar home-fragrance tradition of warming scent gently into a room. The appeal is in the control: a small spoonful for a subtle background, a little more for a fuller impression. Fig and cassis feels especially suited to slower evenings, when you want fruitiness with a darker, more grown-up edge.
