About this product
How singing bowls are played
Strike the rim with a wooden mallet for a clear, immediate note, or circle the rim steadily with the mallet pressed against the metal to draw out a continuous singing tone. The sound builds as you maintain contact and even pressure.
Material and form
Bronze — an alloy of copper and tin — has been cast into singing bowls across the Himalayan region and the Indian subcontinent for ritual, meditation and healing practice. The metal takes and holds vibration well. This bowl is wide enough to rest on a flat surface or a cushion while being played.
Material
Copper, Tin
Object No.
