Wind Chimes, Rainbow Leaf By Copis

• The Capiz pieces touch and flutter gently, creating a soft chiming sound rather than a heavy metallic ring.
• It suits places where you want movement and atmosphere: by a window, beside a garden door, or under a sheltered balcony.
• The leaf shapes catch the eye even when still, adding colour and a little movement to a calm space.
• The driftwood top gives the piece an organic line, with the hanging elements falling loosely beneath it.
• Pinewood beads add small points of texture between the softer shell and fibre details.

The visual charm sits in the contrast: smooth, coloured Capiz leaves against weathered driftwood, with raffia and pinewood beads adding a warmer handmade feel. Each part has a slightly natural character, so small variations are part of its appeal.

This wind chime is handmade in Bali, Indonesia, by small family businesses using driftwood and Capiz shell. Capiz is valued for its translucent look and gentle sound, especially in hanging decorations where light, air and movement all play a part.

Hang it where air can move through it, but choose a sheltered spot if using it outdoors. Natural shell, wood and raffia are best kept away from prolonged damp, strong weather and frost. Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth and bring it inside during harsh conditions.

Wind chimes have appeared in many cultures as threshold objects, garden ornaments and sound pieces for marking a change in the air. Some traditions regard them as protective, especially around entrances and outdoor spaces. Here, that meaning stays gentle and decorative: a handmade chime that brings colour, movement and a soft note to an everyday place.

Includes one handmade wind chime from the Driftwood Chime range. Materials: Capiz shell, driftwood, raffia and pinewood beads.

It makes a lovely gift for someone who enjoys natural home décor, balcony styling or objects with a quiet ritual feeling. The rainbow leaf design gives it a cheerful touch without making it feel loud.
