Wooden Puzzle Box, Om

• The pleasure is in the pause. Instead of lifting a lid, you work through the pieces until the box gives way.
• The Om design makes it feel thoughtful on display, especially beside candles, books or a small meditation space.
• Its small inner space suits meaningful little things rather than everyday clutter.
• The wooden surface brings natural warmth, so it sits softly among other home objects.
• It is as much a conversation piece as a storage box, made to be handled, solved and returned to its place.

Made from Saman wood in Indonesia, this box is built as a wooden puzzle rather than a simple lift-top container. The moving parts need to be opened in the right order, giving the piece its gentle sense of surprise without turning it into a security box.

Use it for small keepsakes, jewellery, a folded note or a tiny gift. Open it slowly, without forcing the pieces, and let the sequence become part of the pleasure.

Keep it dry, dust it with a soft cloth, and avoid leaving it in damp places. Like most natural wood, it will look its best when treated with a little care.

Om is a sacred sound and symbol in Hindu tradition, and it is also widely used in yoga and meditation settings as a sign of presence, attention and inner stillness. On a decorative box, it turns ordinary storage into something more intentional: a place for a small object that matters, a token kept aside, or a quiet gift waiting to be found. The meaning is gentle rather than decorative alone, so it suits spaces where the symbol is chosen with respect.
