Liquorice wax melts bring a dark, sweet fragrance to the room as the wax warms slowly in a burner or electric warmer. The scent has that familiar aniseed depth, cosy and distinctive, made for evenings when you want the air to feel richer without incense smoke.

The liquorice scent

  • Liquorice opens with a sweet, aromatic character, more rounded than sharp.
  • It suits a quiet sitting room, hallway or bedroom corner where scent can drift gently.
  • The mood is warm and nostalgic, like a favourite sweet jar opened after dinner.
  • Choose it when you want something deeper than a floral or citrus fragrance.

The warming ritual

Place a melt in the dish of a wax or oil burner, then warm it with an unscented tealight beneath, or use an electric warmer. The wax melts without a flame touching it, releasing fragrance into the room as it softens.

Replace the melt when the scent has faded. Allow the wax to cool fully before removing it from the burner dish.

Soy and palm wax blend

These melts are made from a blend of soy and palm waxes, with fragrance added for scent release. They are made in China as part of the Natural Soy Wax Melts range.

Size and details

Each box contains six wax melts, separated by cardboard dividers. The total weight is 110 g. Each melt is approximately 4 cm in diameter, 4 cm high, and around 15 g.

A thoughtful home-fragrance gift

This is a good choice for someone who enjoys distinctive home fragrance and already uses a wax burner or electric warmer. The liquorice scent makes it feel more personal than a familiar floral or vanilla, especially for someone drawn to warm, sweet, slightly old-fashioned aromas.

Common questions

Can I use these in an electric warmer?
Yes. Wax melts can be used in the dish of an electric warmer, or in a wax or oil burner with an unscented tealight beneath.

How do I know when to change the wax?
Change it when the fragrance has faded to your taste. The wax may still look present in the dish, but the scent will soften with use.

Do wax melts burn like candles?
No. The wax is warmed in a dish and does not have a wick or flame on the wax itself.
