What rudraksha are
Rudraksha are the dried seeds of Elaeocarpus ganitrus, a broadleaf tree that fruits once a year. The seeds are hard, lightweight, and marked by deep vertical grooves called mukhi — faces. Traditionally they are strung into malas for japa (mantra repetition) or worn on the wrist or neck as a reminder to return to calm. The wood darkens and takes on a slight polish with wear.
How it sits
The bracelet measures 7 cm across when laid flat, with a 2 cm band width formed by two rows of beads. It stretches to slip over the hand and rests close on the wrist. The beads are left in their natural finish — no stain, no varnish — so the colour and texture vary slightly seed to seed, as they do in nature.
