A 50 professional djembe drum, Freedom Rhythm (high) tone, approximately 50cm tall with a 22cm diameter head. Hand-carved from a single piece of wood with a goatskin head, rope-tuned for authentic West African sound.

Materials and Making

Hand-carved wooden shell from a single piece of timber. Goatskin drum head secured and tuned with rope. 50cm tall, 22cm head diameter. Each drum varies slightly in wood grain, shape, and exact tone.

Playing and Care

Play with your hands — palms, fingers, and edges of the hand produce different tones (bass, tone, and slap). Keep the goatskin head dry. In dry climates, occasional light moisturising of the skin helps prevent cracking. Store upright or on its side, away from direct heat and moisture.
