The ivory tone sits between warm white and the palest cream, neither stark nor yellow. It reads as calm and unobtrusive in daylight, and in candlelight it takes on a soft, honeyed quality. The smooth wax surface catches the flame's glow evenly, with no pattern or texture to distract from the form itself.

At 60 mm in diameter and 120 mm tall, these are substantial pillars, wide enough to stand steadily without a deep holder, tall enough to hold their own on a mantel or grouped on a tray. The proportions are classic: a height-to-width ratio that reads as grounded rather than tapered, so they suit a formal table setting as naturally as a relaxed shelf arrangement.

Each candle is rated to 38 hours. Paraffin wax at this diameter burns inward, forming a wax wall around the melt pool rather than running down the sides, provided the candle is kept out of draughts and the wick is trimmed before each use. That inward burn is what gives a pillar its longevity and its clean silhouette as it ages.

Made in Poland from paraffin wax, which at pillar weight and diameter gives the structural hardness needed to hold the candle's shape through a long burn. These are unscented, so the only thing in the room is light.

Group three on a wooden board at different heights for a table centrepiece, or stand a single candle on a stone plate beside a bath. They suit a fireplace hearth in summer when the grate is empty, and a dining table in winter when the overhead light is too much. Ivory works with almost any palette, linen, slate, terracotta, dark wood.

Stand each candle on a heat-proof holder or plate to catch any wax. Trim the wick to about 5 mm before lighting. Never leave a burning candle unattended or near anything flammable, and keep away from draughts to ensure an even burn.
