The scent story
Provence opens with lavender, the purple-flowered herb that has scented the fields of southern France since Roman times, paired with the bright, slightly camphoraceous lift of rosemary. It is the scent of dusk in the Luberon, grounding and quiet.
Pressed Peonies captures the fat, tissue-paper blooms of late spring, their scent soft, faintly sweet and a little green. It is lighter than rose, warmer than jasmine, and associated in East Asian tradition with prosperity and a gentle, unforced grace.
Moroccan Roll brings the heady, honeyed sweetness of orange blossom (the flower of the bitter orange tree, called 'neroli' when distilled), layered with warm spices that recall the scent of Marrakesh souks and riad courtyards in the evening heat.
How to use them
Fill the tub with warm water, drop in half a fizzer, and let it dissolve completely before stepping in. The scent is at its strongest in the first ten minutes; the colour blooms as the sphere melts. Use one half per bath for a light scent, or a whole fizzer when you want the room to fill. Store the unused halves somewhere dry, as any lingering moisture will start the fizz prematurely.
