Provence leans into the lavender fields of southern France, tempered by ylang-ylang's warmth, a scent that has been used in European bathing rituals since the nineteenth century to settle the mind before sleep. Seasalt & Moss is the cooler counterpoint: briny, green, a little austere, modelled on the scent of coastal walks where seaweed dries on rocks and the wind carries salt inland. Windermere draws on the English Lakes, soft, clean, almost neutral, with just enough scent to fill the room without crowding it. Each fizz releases its scent as it dissolves, the blend unfolding over the first few minutes as the water warms.

Run a warm bath, snap one fizzer in half along the indent, and drop a piece into the water. It will hiss and swirl as the bicarbonate and citric acid react, releasing scent and colour. Save the second half in a dry place, a drawer, a bathroom cupboard, for the next bath. The box gives you six soaks in total, or three if you prefer a fuller scent each time.
