The coated sticks shown in the photo have a dark, textured finish, with plain bamboo ends for placing into a suitable holder.

Place the plain end of one stick into a heat-resistant incense holder or ash catcher. Light the coated tip, let it flame briefly, then blow it out so the tip glows and releases smoke.

Burn in a ventilated room, away from curtains, pets and children, and never leave incense unattended. Let the ash fall safely, and allow everything to cool before clearing away.

Oud comes from agarwood and is widely valued in perfume and incense traditions for its rich, dark wood character.
