The candle is made with soy wax and fragrance in a tin vessel. Soy wax is a plant-based alternative to paraffin wax, chosen here for a steady scent throw and a softer, cleaner style of burn.

The wick is made from cotton with paraffin wax, so it lights in the familiar way and burns quietly. Keep the wick neatly trimmed before each lighting to help the wax melt evenly.

The art tin is part of the charm: colourful, compact and simple to move from room to room. Once the candle has finished, the tin can be reused or recycled, provided it has been cleaned safely and any remaining wax has been removed.

Place the candle on a heat-proof holder or plate, away from curtains, papers and anything flammable. Trim the wick to about 5 mm before lighting, and never leave a burning candle unattended.

Do not burn it continuously for more than four hours. Stop using the candle before the wax reaches the bottom of the tin, leaving at least 1 cm of wax behind.
