Wooden Puzzle Box Sheesham Pentagon Secret Compartment

• The polished brown wood shows visible grain, so the surface feels natural rather than flat or plain.
• The geometric face gives it a sculptural quality, like a small object to pause over rather than simply open.
• The puzzle mechanism turns a small gift into a moment of discovery.
• The secret compartment is suited to a ring, a folded note, a charm, or another small keepsake.
• It brings warmth to a dresser, desk, bookcase, or quiet corner where small treasures tend to gather.

This box is made from Saman wood and comes from Indonesia, within the Bali Magic Boxes range. Its appeal is in the sequence: the pieces need to be moved in the right order before the centre compartment is revealed. The visible grain and carved-looking geometric lines give it a tactile, handmade-feeling character, without turning it into a purely decorative object.

Take your time with the mechanism and notice which sections move first. It is designed to be handled, solved and enjoyed, rather than forced.

Keep it dry, wipe with a soft cloth, and avoid leaving it in damp places. As with most wooden objects, a stable indoor spot will help preserve the finish and movement of the pieces.

Puzzle boxes are found in several craft traditions, where the pleasure lies in sequence, touch and memory. This one follows the idea of Indian wooden puzzles, where the user discovers the opening method by moving parts in order. It is not a security box, and it is not meant to be. Its charm is gentler: a small pause, a hidden centre, and the satisfaction of finding the way in.

Made from Saman wood and weighing approximately 350 g. It has a central secret compartment and a pentagon-style puzzle face.

It suits someone who enjoys puzzles, tactile objects, wooden décor, or small surprises. Place a tiny keepsake inside before giving it, and the opening becomes part of the gift itself.
