Fragranced Candle Sand - Cream - Regent Polo - 300g

Candle sand is granulated wax, each grain individually fragranced. It melts into a pool when lit, just like a traditional candle, but because it starts loose you can pour exactly the amount you need and change the container as often as you like. The wick sits upright in the sand, press it in gently before lighting, and the wax burns down around it, leaving the grains at the edge to be stirred back in or topped up with fresh sand.

Pour the sand into a wide, heat-proof dish or bowl to a depth of about two centimetres. Press a wick into the centre, leaving around five millimetres showing above the surface. Light it, and the sand will melt into a pool; the scent lifts as the wax warms. Trim the wick to about five millimetres before each use, and always place the container on a stable, heat-proof surface. Never leave it burning unattended, and keep it clear of draughts and anything flammable.

Regent Polo takes its cue from the aromatic fougère tradition, a fragrance family built on lavender, oakmoss, and coumarin that defined men's grooming in the twentieth century. The name nods to Ralph Lauren's Polo, a scent that brought that green, woody, slightly soapy character into mainstream culture in the 1970s. This candle sand captures that same clean confidence: bracing at first, then warming, with a dry-down that feels more like a shirt pressed with lavender water than a room full of flowers.

The pouch holds 300 g of fragranced candle sand, enough to fill a medium serving bowl or several smaller dishes. A cotton wick is included. The sand is made in Britain.
