Fragranced Candle Sand - Latte Beige - Pure Serenity - 300g

• The wax arrives as sand-like granules, warm beige in tone, that flow through your fingers and settle evenly in whatever vessel you choose.
• The scent opens gently herbal and citrus-bright with the lavandin and bergamot, then softens into something quieter and more floral as the orange blossom and water notes come through.
• The tonka and orris in the base give it a smooth, almost skin-like warmth, with a trace of musk that holds the blend together without sweetness.
• You tuck a wick (not included) into the centre, light it, and the wax melts outward from the flame, releasing scent as it pools.

Candle sand is a loose granular wax, typically plant-derived, that you pour to the depth and shape you want rather than buying a pre-formed candle. It melts slowly around the wick, burning cleanly without the tunnelling that solid candles sometimes develop. The 300 g pouch fills a shallow dish or small bowl to a depth of about two to three centimetres, depending on the vessel's width.

Pour the sand into a heat-proof dish, bowl or jar, ceramic, glass or metal all work well. Press a cotton wick (sold separately, or use one from a spent tealight) into the centre so it stands upright, with about a centimetre showing above the surface. Trim the wick to around 5 mm before lighting. Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep the vessel on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from draughts and anything flammable. When the wax has cooled and solidified, you can re-use it: break it up, pour it back into a clean vessel, and re-wick.

Pure Serenity is inspired by a modern fragrance known for its quiet, almost meditative quality. Lavandin, a hybrid lavender with a sharper, more aromatic edge than English lavender, anchors the top alongside bergamot's clean citrus and neroli's faintly bitter-sweet florals. Orange blossom and fresh aquatic notes soften the heart, while tonka bean, orris (from the iris root, known for its powdery, slightly violet character) and musk settle it into something skin-close and calming. It is a scent for late afternoon or early evening, when you want the room to feel a little softer without announcing itself.
