How candle sand works
This is wax in sand form, tiny granules you pour rather than a solid block. You fill a bowl, jar, tin or ceramic dish (anything that can take heat), press a wick into the centre, and light it. The sand around the wick melts into liquid wax, burns steadily, then solidifies back to sand as it cools. Once cool, you can stir it, add more sand if needed, reposition the wick and light it again. It gives you complete control over the shape, depth and vessel.
Styling and use
Because you choose the container, the sand suits any setting. A shallow dish gives a wide, low flame; a tall glass gives a deeper glow. The warm grey tone is neutral enough to sit on a desk, a bedside table, or a bathroom shelf without drawing attention to itself. Between uses, you can leave the sand in the vessel or tip it back into the pouch.
Burn and care
Use a cotton or wooden wick designed for granular wax (not included). Press it firmly into the sand so it stands upright. Trim the wick to about 5 mm before lighting, and always stand the vessel on a heat-proof surface. Never leave a burning candle unattended or near anything flammable. Let the sand cool completely before stirring or moving it.
