The shell is made from jackfruit wood, with visible carved linework around the body and a warm reddish-brown finish. Black polyester string wraps the head and shell in a traditional djembe-style tension pattern, while the base is finished with rubber for everyday use.

Sit with the drum slightly angled away from you, either between the knees or held comfortably against the body. Play with relaxed hands rather than force; the sound comes from clean contact and quick release.

Keep it in a dry indoor space and avoid leaving it in damp conditions. Wipe the shell and head with a soft dry cloth after use, and store it where the lacing will not be pulled or snagged.
