Cool, clear glass with a soft aqua tint settles into warm Balinese gamal wood. The two meet gently, like water finding the curve of a river stone. This is functional art—quietly sculptural, easy to live with, and made to be touched.

Hand‑blown glass forms an organic, rounded body with a smooth, angled rim. Look closely and you’ll see waviness and tiny air bubbles—traces of breath and heat that catch the light. The walls feel substantial. Where glass meets wood, the vessel follows every rise and hollow of the root, resting in a natural cradle.

Carved and finished by hand, the gamal wood base keeps its irregular contours and lively grain. In Bali, artisans often work with what the land offers, shaping by hand so material and form stay in conversation. Here, the glass is softened in the furnace, then laid over the root and allowed to relax; as it cools, it remembers the wood’s shape and holds it.

Place it where light moves—on a shelf, bedside table, or a windowsill. Give it a few stems in water, a small air plant, or a handful of river stones. It stands beautifully on its own, too, inviting a pause each time you pass.
