Wind Chimes Pearl Effect Driftwood Cross
A soft shell wind chime for a doorway, covered balcony or quiet indoor corner, where the light can catch its pale round discs and the breeze can set them moving. The driftwood bar gives it a weathered, coastal feel, while the pearl-effect Capiz pieces create a gentle, irregular music as they touch.

About this product
Soft movement, pale shell sound
- The hanging discs overlap like small moons, shifting between milky white and translucent cream in the light.
- Its sound is delicate rather than loud, made by shell pieces brushing and tapping against each other.
- The natural wood top keeps the piece grounded, with visible grain, knots and worn edges.
- It suits a slow corner of the home: near a window, by a sheltered patio door, or above a calm reading chair.
- Even when still, it works as a sculptural wall or ceiling accent, with soft lines and a beach-found mood.
Driftwood, shell and natural detail
This wind chime is handmade in Bali by small family businesses, using beach-sourced materials including driftwood and Capiz shell. The listed materials also include raffa, pinewood beads and Coffea canephora, giving the piece a layered, natural character.
The photo shows a pale driftwood crossbar, twisted hanging cord and rows of round pearl-effect discs suspended on fine lines. Small variations in colour, grain and shell markings are part of its quiet charm.
Where to hang it
Hang it where air can move through gently, without placing it in harsh, exposed weather. Natural shell, wood and fibres are best kept away from prolonged damp, heavy rain and strong wind.
To clean, dust lightly with a soft dry cloth. If the discs tangle, separate them slowly rather than pulling the threads.
Why wind chimes carry meaning
Wind chimes appear in many cultures as objects for thresholds, gardens and sacred spaces, valued for the way they make moving air audible. In some traditions, they are associated with protection and with marking a boundary between outside and inside. Here, that meaning sits softly in the background: a natural chime for noticing the breeze, the light and the small changes in a room.
Weight and details
This is one handmade wind chime from the Driftwood Chime range, made in Indonesia. It weighs 230 g.

This was a lovely gift for my buddy who is hard to buy for. It is now in top spot on her rose arch and driving her husband mad. Arrived really quickly, well packed and just what I needed.
