Fragranced Candle Sand - Warm Honey - Blush Bloom - 300g

• You pour it into any heat-proof vessel, a ceramic bowl, a glass jar, a vintage teacup, and press a wick into the centre, so the candle takes the shape you give it.
• The scent builds in layers: the berries come first, bright and almost effervescent, then the florals settle in and the wood and musk hold it all together at the base.
• It looks like fine sand in soft blush and cream tones, so even unlit it sits prettily on a shelf or a bedside table.
• You can burn a little at a time, light one wick for an hour, let it cool, then pour fresh sand over the top and light again another day.

Candle sand is wax broken into tiny granules, fragranced and dyed, so it pours and moulds like loose sand but burns steadily once a cotton wick is bedded into it. The format gives you freedom over the vessel and the quantity you burn at once, and between uses it stores flat in the pouch.

Pour the sand into a heat-proof bowl, dish or jar to a depth of about 3, 4 cm. Press a cotton wick (not included; a standard birthday-candle wick works) into the centre, leaving about 5 mm above the surface. Light it as you would any candle. When you're done, snuff the flame, let the sand cool fully, then level it out and store it in the pouch or leave it in the vessel ready for next time. Stand the vessel on a heat-proof plate and never leave it burning unattended.

Blush Bloom is inspired by Marc Jacobs Daisy, that same balance of fruit, green and floral that feels optimistic and light without tipping into cloying. The wild berries give it a juicy, almost edible opening; the violet leaves add a fresh, slightly grassy edge; and the jasmine and gardenia bring the softness. The musk and pale woods keep it grounded, so it doesn't float away into purely sweet territory. It suits a bedroom, a dressing room, or anywhere you want a scent that feels bright but not loud.
